Francis “Frank” George Gawron, age 90, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. He was born April 30, 1928 in Muskegon to John and Mary (Olech) Gawron and lived his entire life in the area. On Octo Read Obituary
Just learned about Frank's passing. I was blessed to witness his deep love for Christ and the Church and to know his support and encouragement during my years as pastor at St. Francis. God grant him eternal rest and peace and comfort to Margaret and the family.
I will gratefully remember him at Mass.

Uncle Frank always had a way of making you feel special. When I think of the word "Gentleman" I think of Uncle Frank, he was not only a gentleman, he was kind, loving, and a great listener. My visit with Aunt Margaret and Uncle Frank last summer was so special to me. Lots of laughs and hugs were shared.
RIP Frank.....for the entire Ashcraft Family we extend our deepest condolences to your whole family...Remember him being such a nice man and a very good brother-in-law to two of my favorite people, Jene and Rita DeMarse...God Bless All of You!!!

We came up to Michigan for a wedding, back in 2000 or 2001, I think, and Grandma and Grandpa were going to give us a ride to the airport. As we were leaving the house with our luggage, I held the gate open for Grandpa, and he said, "You're such a nice young man, let me give you a dollar." 😂😂😂 I replied that that would not be neccessary, but Grandpa insisted.
I would love to tell this story with my "Grandpa Impression." (Some of y'all might have heard my, "Oh, that's incredible! A husky in Texas!")
I miss you, Grandpa. Thanks for all you have done for us! I'll see you again someday.

Uncle Frank had a way of making me (and I suspect, everyone) feel remembered, seen, and loved. He had a huge heart. I'm praying for Aunt Margaret and my Gawron cousins.
