God bless you, Gert. My first meeting with Gert was working at the G.H. Meijer on Jackson. We continued our friendship while I was on the F.D. Years ago, Gert would bring treats to the department. Visits together were special times. During our visits, she spoke of her family often, so very proud. I am very thankful to have known Gert.
