Mr. Howard N. Mundt, age 90, passed away February 18, 2012 at the Poppen Residence. He was born on May 12, 1921 to Charles and Alice (VanZylen) Mundt in Muskegon. He was an active member of Crestwood United Methodist Church where Read Obituary
Howard Mundt and Margie were always so kind to and concerned for my mother. I will never forget the extra mile they both walked to be a friend to her. Their work at Wood Avenue and then Crestwood United Methodist Church was a cornerstone to the congregation. The path he left as a school board member paved the way for great things. A man of conviction, intelligence and generosity. I thank you so much for being a part of my life.

We'll always remember Howie sitting on the porch at the cottage giving Steve directions on how the boat, dock, lawn, etc. had to be done and all of us giving him a hard time about his methods. "Howie will be missed so much as Crestwood. He welcomed us into the church so sincerely. All the kids loved him and respected him as a leader. Austin couldn't of picked a better mentor when he went through confirmation. Howie was truly a blessing to know. I'm sure my dad will be greeting him in heaven like he has greeted us. Its a comfort to know we will be greeted again by such great people someday! Both Howie and Marge are special people and she will be in our prayers."
