Such a wonderful man and a great role model for postal carriers was this gentleman Jack. I started delivering mail his last year. I remember the effect he had on so many of his customers on his route. I decided then and there at his little retirement party upstairs in the Post Office to be as kind and humble and serving as Jack. Hugs to his family.What a good good man.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Jack was a very kind guy, quick with a smile. His last day at the Post Office was my first, and he smiled at me and said, good luck kid. I saw him a few times after at the Apartment house on Lakeshore Dr, working outside. Still smiling. I will miss you Jack.
