So sorry to hear that you lost your dear mother. I have some very fond memories of her, you kids, and the little neighborhood on the channel we called home. May God comfort you during this most difficult time of loss and sadness.
This message is from Joe's (Berg/Swarvar, Smith) cousins. We became "re-aquainted with Joe and Jean just @5 years ago, but became immediate friends! Loved our few visits with them, and always had great conversations. Such warm and caring people..so sad they are no longer with us, but glad they are re-united in God's kingdom. Prayers for the entire family, although we never really met all the kids & grandkids.

I remember Jean swimming in the early morning in Muskegon Lake! She loved it..so peaceful and she swam before the lake got too busy! She always would stop and chat when she walked by the house ...and loved catching up with the kids. Joe and Jean were so gracious in allowing us to use their side yard for our daughter Annah's wedding last June. Hard to believe they are both gone. So sorry for your loss..I know you have lots of great memories to keep her always in your heart.

Jean was such a wonderful neighbor to us these few years since we moved to "Port Sherman." So welcoming, along with Joe, they made us feel right at home immediately. Oh My--the wonderful memories of the 70's being your neighbor at the lake! The fun times we had! My children were born while there and yours became ours. Those things I will never forget!
