Memories of the days when we were young are very rich. Indeed, those memories are fused by the warmth and love that Jean shared with all of the friends of Vicki and Nicole and with her friends which included our mother, Joan.
The picnics in the woods, lunches of the best potato soup in the Midwest, shuttling us to Mrs. Mastenbrook’s so we could smock and make all sorts of fantastic handicrafts, listening to music from the turntable, the talks about life and love at the kitchen table while we were teens – all of the enriching memories belong to us because Jean opened her heart and home to us when we were rambunctious kids, curious teens, young adults, and into our days as parents.
Jean has been a Mother to many souls of days gone by and her gifts to us were her teachings to pursue your dreams; support your children in all that they do; never give up when life throws you a curve ball; pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start again; stay strong; and above all, relish your family and friends.
Goodbye for now but not forever, Mother Jean.##imported-begin##Karen, Doug, and Hal##imported-end##
