I had Mr. Pike for a PE teacher when I was a student at Hubert Elementry School in Detroit. I am 62 years old, and still remember him fondly. I remember him saying "Hands on knees, if you please" Be assured he is in my thoughts and prayers.##imported-begin##Ann (Brandt) Kovacs##imported-end##
Our deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Pike. My husband and I both attended Hubert, and thought Mr. Pike was a wonderful teacher. We hope his family finds comfort in knowing how many lives he touched in his teaching career.##imported-begin##Gail (Loman) Barthauer##imported-end##

I apologize for not coming to meet the family, but I just got the notice today 5/20 at 6 p.m.. I currently live in Muskegon and was a student of Mr. Pikes back in the 50's. My sister, brother and myself graduated from Hubert from 1956 to 1958 and we all adored him. Our family name was Julien and I have been in touch with the Hubert group through the school reunion's held annually. He was a great teacher and I'm sure a loving father and husband. My deepest sympathy to your family and I would like to donate a Memory Bear to someone in the family if you would want one. Please contact me by email and we can go from there if anyone would like. They are Teddy Bears made from an article of his clothing. Sincerely, Sunny Julien Collard##imported-begin##Sunny M. Collard##imported-end##
Our condolances to the family of Mr Pike. I am a Hubert School class of 1946, and I know the name well in my memory but cant remember the exact class that Mr Pike taught. I want to say he was asst Principle and had me in his office for rowdy driving when I came by to pickup my girlfriend Shirley Bennett after I was at Redford H.S. Our prayers to Mr Pike and his family.##imported-begin##Bill Duvall##imported-end##
My sincere condolences to Mr. Pike's entire family. I attended Hubert School and graduated from there in 1958. I was a member of the Traffic School Patrol of which Mr. Pike was the director. I have many fond memories of Mr. Pike. He will be missed.##imported-begin##Joe Scafero##imported-end##
