Mary Lou was a table mate with my mom, Nora Lawson, at American House in the Pebblebrook building. My mom really enjoyed her company and missed her when she moved on to Timberbrook.

I was so happy to be able to see Mary Lou, a couple of weeks ago, at Timberbrook and was able to visit with her and her one of her daughters for a few minutes.

Please know that I am sad for your loss and I know that she will be missed by so many people. She was such a sweet lady.

One thing I noticed in the obituary is that one of her relatives is named Kandy Hunt. I grew up down by Lake Michigan and went to school with a Kandy Hunt and wondered if it is the same person. I went to Bluffton Elementary in Muskegon.

I could write a book about all the wonderful memories I have shared with Mary Lou, through the years! I will remember our days working together at Lorin, all our shopping trips, our travels to California, Traverse City, Birmingham, and all the fun places we visited. Mostly, I will treasure all the many times we spent together, sharing both joyous and heartbreaking moments in our lives. Mary Lou was a soul mate, and my treasured friend. I will keep her close in my heart always! Keeping Michelle, Corey and Jill, and their families in my thoughts and prayers! Rest In Peace sweet Mary Lou, I will miss you!!!

Michelle, Rick, Marissa and family: So very sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of your mom, Michelle. I was blessed to have worked with Mary Lou at Dr. Meyer. I also would get many ideas from her when it came to sewing projects. Since my father also resides at American House I was able to see Mary Lou a few times. She was such a sweet lady always a smile. I will miss you but will cherish the memories I have .

Mary Lou, Violet Shields, Rose Casadonte and me (Pat Hommer) were close friends in school and after high school . We went together a lot. We were the Three Musketeers, of our class St. Mary High class 1953. I will miss her very much. Kids and Jim I am so sorry for your final loss, as she was lost in mind before. Last time I saw her was ad our 60th class reunion and I could see then she was having trouble remembering things, and also when we had plans to meet for lunch and she forgot but we did make it. It hurt to see her then but I have never forgotten the wonderful times we all had together. God bless and keep you all, and may she be in God's hand now.
