I like to call Merritt our "Fearless Leader".
He had a desire to travel and see the world, and that lead him to purchase American Royal Travel. This was the beginning of many adventures. He worked hard to learn his new business and became very successful. He began to travel and found something he loved about every place he visited and each time he returned that would be the destination he would promote. Merritt loved sharing his adventures with clients. He became so good at telling his travel stories people wanted to travel with him. Soon he had a group of 40+ adventure seekers ready to follow him to his next destination, always returning with funny stories and new friends he had made. Travel was his passion.
Now after 30 years of working with Merritt enjoying the good times and getting thru the not so good times, I watched our Fearless Leader embark on his final journey.
It is the end of an era, and I will miss my friend dearly.
I send my deepest sympathy to all of Merritt's family. He will be missed and I know you will all try to be strong for him. He lived a good life and he was a family person someone alway loved and could go to . God be with you all. Love and Prayers, Marilyn Willacker
