A friend sent me Hilda's obituary and seeing her picture brought back so many wonderful memories! I was with Hilda at Mrs Wyant's for several months over many years whenever Mrs Wyant would travel. Hilda was an inspiration to me and a wonderful loyal employee to Mys Wyant. I know some of those days were difficlt but Hilda made the best of every day and showed me how to do the same. I also remember VERY fondly her wonderful cooking --and even better her baking! I ate more carrot cake and chocolate chip cookies in her kitchen than in all the days since!!! Dear George, Bev, Joe, and Emil,

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your mother. I did not know her, but knowing the four of you she must have been very special.

My intention was to attend the funeral today, but my first husband's mother tore one of her retinas and we spent the day assisting her from doctor to doctor and finally repair of the retina.

Betty has kept me updated with Aunt Hilda's health. I want to tell you what a great job you all have done in caring for her. You all should be very proud and have set great examples for your children and grand children.
Having lived next door for so long and practically growing up together, I have many great memories of your mom. She was a wonderful kind, caring lady and she will be greatly missed. Will see you on Friday.
