Mrs. Hilda M. (Danz) Kieft's Obituary
Mrs. Hilda M. (Danz) Kieft passed away Tuesday morning, April 26, 2005, at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was born in West Allies, Wisconsin on September 21, 1914 to Anton and Mary (Merschdorf) Rittgasser, and has been a resident of the Muskegon area since she was a child. She was a member of the Muskegon Township Fire Department Auxiliary, and attended Calvary Memorial Church. Hilda had worked for Continental Motors, Standard Automotive, and had lived and worked for Mrs. Wyatt as her housekeeper for 17 years. On September 3, 1939, she married Fred Danz and he preceded her in death in August, 1971. She then married Chester Kieft on July 16, 1988 and he survives her along with 4 children, George (Sally) Danz of Deerfield Beach, FL, Beverly (Doug Cross) Hammond, Joseph Danz, Emil (Sandi) Danz; 3 step-children, Bonnie (Jim) Spoelhof, Denny (Sig) Kieft, Connie (Chet) Mundinger; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Helen Cherry; and special family friend, Betty Gilcrest. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Danz; her parents; and 2 sisters, Marie Stasunas and Elizabeth Spencer. SERVICES will be 11AM Friday at
Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210, with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8PM Thursday. Interment will take place at Fruitland Township Cemetery. Memorials in Mrs. Kieft’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
