I don't get back to Michigan too often and on this trip back I learned that Ron had passed. In 1966 Ron, Jan and myself had planned to go to California after graduation. We were going to take my old Ford. One day, Don called me over to the dealership and asked about how we were going to go. I said in my old Ford. He suggested it wouldn't make it all the way and he had a brand new Bonneville that needed to be delivered to a dealer in Oxnard CA. Needless to say, the 3 of us rode in luxury all the way down Route 66 to California. As I went in the Air Force later in 1966, I kind of lost track of Ron, always meaning to look him up when I came home on leave. I never did and now all I will have of Ron is our Jr and Sr years in high school and that trip to CA. Ron, RIP; and my condolences to all of his family.
