Ronald "Ron" J. Rosso's Obituary
Ronald “Ron” J. Rosso, 65, of Thompsonville, formerly of Grand Haven, died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City. He was born August 22, 1948, in Mt. Clemens, the son of Donald and Esther (Wiegerink) Rosso.
Ron owned and operated Ron’s Heating and Cooling, in Thompsonville, for 16 years until retiring in 2011 due to failing health. In his spare time, Ron loved playing golf, hunting, fishing, swimming in the Betsie River and enjoying an occasional two fingers of Crown Royal. Most of all, Ron loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
On December 22, 1984, in Grand Haven, Ron married Charlene (Heinz) Marshall, who survives him. He is also survived by: 4 children, Ricky Rosso of Grand Haven, Kim (John) Russell of Spring Lake, Kelly (Jeff) Jenkins of Chesterfield, Missouri and Robbie (Shannon) Marshall of Fruitport; 7 grandchildren, Veronica “Ronnie” Russell, Lydia Russell, Jack Russell, identical twins, Ben and Alex Jenkins, Mackenzie Marshall and Chandler Marshall; his brother, Steve (Cindy) Rosso of Grand Haven; his sister-in-law, Linda Rosso of Grand Haven, and from the Heinz side, twelve sisters and brothers-in-law; his former spouse, Sandy Rosso; and several nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Esther; and his brother, Mike Rosso.
A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. Brett Spalding officiating. Visitation will be held 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17 at the funeral home. Memorials in memory of Ron to Munson Hospice House are appreciated.
