Sandy was one of the most positive and strongest women I have ever met. I'm so blessed to have been her friend. She was so positive about life and never wanted pity from anyone. She never complained about her cancer. On the outside, it was hard to tell she was even sick. She was a true fighter, an inspiration to me, and the most special angel in heaven now. I will always cherish your smile and our fun times together. I'm thankful you are now at peace.

She was a wonderful friend and my neighbor. Sandy was always so upbeat and lived her life like nothing could hold her back. What an inspiration!

Our daughter Mkena & Makenzie were elementary school pals. One day Sandy was over our house picking up Makenzie. I'll never forgot what she said to Laurie and I. As we were standing in the kitchen as the girls were gathering up their items, Sandy asked if she could give us a piece of advise. She said "the things I once stressed about are laughable looking back on it." "my advise to you both would be don't stress about trivial things." I often think of her words of wisdom she blessed both of us with & I thought it fitting to share. Sandy made an impact in our lives & I wish I had taken the time to tell her how something as small as this piece of advice, will forever live in us. Our thoughts & prayers go out to all the family & friends.
