While my dear brother-in-law will be missed deeply by so many, his memory will live on in all our hearts. My thoughts and prayers go out to our family for the loss of a good man, a husband, dad, brother, grandpa, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. Terry was all of those things and so much more and I am so lucky to have shared a small part of his life.
Terry McGovern was a sweet, kind and thoughtful man. He always made you feel very comfortable when you were around him. Whenever I seen him like running into him at rykes he was so kind and always asked me how my two boys were. I think everyone who knew him whether very well or just meeting him once, he made a lasting impression. The handful of times I had the pleasure of spending with him I will never forget. Thank you to Terry for being such a wonderful man and sharing his life with so many people. My heart is broken for Terry's Wife Sue and his Brothers and Sisters and children and nieces and nephews and grandchildren because I no their going to miss him Dearly. We all will miss him and look forward to the day we will see him again. When we see him again he will not be suffering and he will be restored new and just think we will get to see that beautiful smile again. What a glorious day that will be. Revolution 21:4 says And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be know more, neither mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. I won't say Goodbye, I'll say until we meet again.
Thoughts and prayers go out to the family. The Major family is very saddened by the loss of Terry. He was our step brother for many years and we cherish our time and memories with him. He was always fun to be around and always had words of wisdom for us. He will be missed greatly.

I love you so and miss you even more. You were the best big brother a sister could hope to have. Not to mention to brothers also. Dan,you say it so well, he was simply the best!

How do you say goodbye to a man that has been a friend that acted more like a brother for so many years.I met Terry at the Maple Tavern the same day he met his wife Sue.Terry found out quickly, with me being Sue's best friend that I was going to be around a lot so he was just going to have to tolerate me. I'm sure he didn't think it was going to be for the rest of his life. Terry saw me through two marriages, two divorces and many relationships. He was always willing to give me advice even though chances were I wasn't going to follow it, but always supported my decisions anyway. Terry was an uncle to many many kids, most of which were not even blood related to him. Everyone of them loving their Uncle Terry. The FUN uncle. He was much more than an uncle to my kids, Kris and Tina. They never had a doubt that they could count on Uncle Terry for anything they needed and many things they did not need.
Rest in Peace Terry, you will be missed by so many.
Thinking of all of you, especially Sue, Liz, and Kristen, and keeping you in our prayers. We have wonderful memories of happy times with Terry and family.

I am so grateful for our time together while you were in the nursing home. It was a privilege to be there to help you. Even when you were in pain, and being a pain, you would come up with a joke that would make the staff laugh and we knew your sense of humor came shining through. Nothing made you happier than to make others laugh. You will be missed by so many, but now you can rest peacefully and make heaven a brighter place.
