Terry L. McGovern's Obituary
Terry L. McGovern, age 61, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016. He was born June 29, 1954 to Terry and Anna (VerMeulen) McGovern in Muskegon. Terry worked 40 years as plant manager for several area manufacturers including CL Frost, USF Holland and LKQ. He loved watching, playing, coaching and umpiring sports. He was an avid golfer, coached softball for Muskegon Little League and West Michigan Christian High School, umpired men’s softball and enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers. In May of 1980, he married Susan E. Cousineau in Muskegon and she survives him along with his children, Shannon McGovern, Nathan McGovern, Elizabeth McGovern (Brian) Harvey and Kristin McGovern; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Daniel McGovern and Christopher McGovern; 3 sisters, Barbara Stephensen, Erin Bedwin and Kathy Gibson. He was preceded in death by his parents. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 2:00PM Thursday, January 21, 2016 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210.
