Art had a great and lively spirit. I remember him always being full of love and very kind, as I spent a lot of time with his family and him as a child - great memories taking trips "out to the country".
I am sorry I was unable to attend his service, but wanted to send a note out to his family that I will always remember those great times and thought highly of him.

I 1st met Dad at Marlins graduation, I got great laughs as he told his jokes then at Cliffords Birthday party " I said hi dad and he said where did I get you, I said through Amy and he said ok well can I bum a cigarette I said sure he said ok lets go have one and we went out side and smoked as he told me some more jokes. Then I visited Ma and him while he was sick and I gave him a sandwhich that mom made him and he thanked me and told me a joke then I told him if he needed anything else just ring his bell and he got this big smile on his face and said ok. I wish we could have gotten to no each other better but I cherish the small time we did spend together and talking and laughing. Love all of you and dad will always be missed
Very sorry for your loss. Art was a very nice guy. Any time we went back to St Luke's Art always made a point of stopping and chatting with me over snacks and coffee. I always enjoyed his stories from his trucking days. Take care and you be in our thoughts and prayers.
Amy & Lynn, sorry for the loss of your Dad. Sending you prayers and hugs. Cindy (from GQS)
One day as a little kid.. My grandpa spent Father's Day spoiling me. He took me out to Perkins to eat lunch. I ordered the 5 mega piece French toast meal. The waitress bet me that I couldn't eat the whole meal. My grandpa told her not to count me out. After I had finished the whole meal she looked at me and said wow. My grandpa said " I told you so". In return she gave me a free cookie. I took it but chose to eat it at a later time. After wards my grandpa took me to toys'r'us and bought me a toy of my choice. And continued our day together by taking me to a bowling alley and showing me how to play pool. All on Father's Day. A day in which he should have been spoiled. But I believe him spending the day with me and making me happy was his sense of being spoiled and enjoying his Father's Day. I'll always remember this day. I hope to do the same with my grandchildren. I Love you grandpa. I'll see you again someday.
Each summer from when I was 10 Yeats old we spent itleast a week at Uncle Art and Aunt Ruth's. I can remember Uncle Art taking us to the lake. He watched us swim and even joined. In sometimes. He got such a kick out of watching us laughing and teasing each other! I miss those days when life was simpler.
I remember the time i went to Florida with dad in the semi truck, we got bananas and found out we were over weight so we had to take 18 boxes out of trailer and put them in the bunk of the truck, that was on Wed. and we didn't get home til Fri. Ah the good old days I Love you so much dad, you will truly be missed
Some of my most fond are the last ones. Bringing Grandpa dinner and watching Dead or Alive with him. Two shows back to back, he would ask if I knew what would happen next. John Wayne is still my favorite actor and I still love old westerns. Loved our dinners together and bonding time. I'm going to miss him so much.
