Arthur "Art" Ingalls' Obituary
Arthur “Art” Ingalls, age 84, of Spring Lake passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at his home. He was born March 19, 1931, in East Jordan, MI to Clifford and Lorna (Sommerville) Ingalls, and he married Ruth Stock on July 11, 1959, in Davenport, IA.
Arthur was a truck driver all of his working life and was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Nunica. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time fishing or as he called it “drowning worms with his grandsons”, hunting and camping.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Ruth Ingalls of Spring Lake; four daughters: Claudia Richards of Lake Orion, Nola Ingalls of Spring Lake, Lynn Harris of Muskegon, Amy Ingalls of Spring Lake; his son, Aaron (Jo) Ingalls of Arvada, CO; six grandchildren, Jessica Lynn (Adam) Woodward, Jessica (Thomas) Gould, Mitchell Rubeck, Ruth Harris, Marlin Ingalls, and Clifford Ingalls; four great-grandchildren, Alex Rubeck, Anna Goll, Ryan Gould, and Brooke Payne. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Brown; three brothers, Marlin, Frank, and Glenn; and his step-granddaughter, Sarah Boyles.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 11261 South Street, Nunica, with Rev. Brennan Woell officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Building Fund at St. Luke Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
