Adam V. Stojak's Obituary
Mr. Adam V. Stojak, age 90, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at a local nursing home. He was born June 19, 1914 in Pheonix, IL to Stanley and Mary (Nega) Stojak and lived in the Muskegon area the past 2 years after moving from the Chicago area where he lived most of his life. On November 27, 1937, he married the former Stella J. Kapecki in Chicago, IL and she survives him. Prior to his retirement in 1978, he worked for 38 years in management for United States Steel Corporation. He was a member of St. Christina Catholic Church in Chicago and was a frequent visitor to St. James Catholic Church in Montague. He was also a member of the United States Steel Engineer’s Club. SURVIVORS include his wife of 67 years, Stella; 2 children, Ted (Judy) Stojak of Montague, Anna Marie (Ken) Kubacki of Chesterfield, MO; 7 grandchildren, Kathryn (Max) Reynolds of Hoover, AL; Deborah Stojak of Ft. Collins, CO, Sarah (Brent) McCarthy of Muskegon, Kenneth Kubacki of Maryland Heights, MO, Adam T. Stojak of Montague, Kristine (Matt Sondag) Kubacki of University City, MO, Emily (Kevin) James of Cheynne, WY; 3 brothers, John Stojak, Bruno (Lottie) Stojak, Frank (Jean) Stojak; 2 sisters, Theresa Florek, Victoria Stojak; brother-in-law, Jay Surufka; sister-in-law, Jesse Stojak; and many nieces and nephews. He was prededed in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Michael, Joseph and Walter Stojak, and his sister, Estelle Surufka. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, December 2, 2004 at St. James Catholic Church in Montague with the Rev. Fr. Chris Rouech presiding. VISITATION with Adam’s family will be 4-7 PM Wednesday at the Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210. A Scripture Service will be held 5:00 PM this afternoon at the funeral home.
