Mom....it's been almost 7 years and now you and dad are back together again. I know that you are both happy now, neither of you are lonely, sad, or suffering anymore. We did the best that we could with papa...he was never really happy after losing you but Casey and "his girls" kept him going for quite a while...He just couldn't go on anymore. We spent 3 months with caring for you in the end...and only got less than 2 weeks with papa...but they were good and peaceful which is all that we could hope for. Mom...You've been gone a week now...It's not getting easier. We missed you so much on Thanksgiving. I promised you that I would take care of dad...I'm trying, but it breaks my heart to see dad hurt so much for you...You were so strong for so long and to see you suffer so the last weeks made me think it would be ok for you to leave us. It's not. We'll NEVER stop missing you, needing you, and loving you every minute of every day mom...I wish so much you could come back for dad and casey and I. I'm trying so hard to block out the last days we had together and remember ALL the wonderful times that we shared. You were so wonderful, so sweet, so considerate, so talented. To my adopted Dutch family, I will miss
Grandma more that words can say. Over the last 18 years we became very close. I am proud to have been her youngest girlfriend. We shared many laughs and some tears, but mostly laughs on our Thursday lunch dates. We would reminisced about the good old days. Hoewel een week te laat condoleren Maatje en ik je met je grote verlies.
Het was maar een paar weken geleden dat je me zei dat Puck maar 6 weken te leven had. Dat is uit gekomen en we zijn very sorry te horen dat je nu helemaal alleen bent.

Unfortunately, because of distance, I did not get to spend a lot of time with grandma as I was growing up. However, the few times that I did get to spend with her are remembered clearly and always will be. My mother (Pat) always kept me informed and updated with things going on in Michigan with the family. She would also keep grandma updated of events that were happening here in California with all the grandchildren and the new arrivals of the great grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
