Adrianna "Anna Lou" Kellis' Obituary

Adrianna “Anna Lou” Kellis, age 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, December 16, 2023. She was born October 10, 1939 in Muskegon, Michigan to Albert and Elizabeth (DeRuiter) Wagenmaker. She married the love of her life, Herschel C. Kellis of Miamisburg, Ohio on June 14, 1958 in Muskegon, Michigan. Together they were blessed with three children.
Anna Lou was a homemaker but also enjoyed working with her family at Wagenmaker Greenhouses. She especially enjoyed flowers, gardening, spending time with family, and making everything special and pretty for those she loved. Anna Lou was creative and shared her love of crafting by making beautiful home décor. Many of those pieces are still treasured by her family.
SURVIVORS include her husband of 65 years, Herschel Kellis, their two children and spouses: Lynn and Mike Shaffer and Kelly and Bruce McKie; daughter-in-law, Gwyn Kellis.
Grandchildren: Ryan and Kalli Shaffer, Gabe and Breanna Shaffer, Jacob and Julia Kellis, Morgan and Josh Southwick, and Brad Kellis.
Great-grandchildren: Sterling, Scarlette, Elliana, Finnian, and Penelope.
Anna Lou’s siblings: Donna and Rodney Sorn, Bruce and Barb Wagenmaker, Paula Ellis, and Brian and Jackie Wagenmaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Elizabeth Wagenmaker, her sister and brother-in-law Linda and Don Hyma, her brother-in-law Jerry Ellis, and her son Brent Kellis.
A celebration of Anna Lou’s life will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 11:00 am at Christ Church, 1910 Ruddiman Drive, North Muskegon, MI 49445. A time of fellowship and refreshments will be following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MAD Making a Difference Ministries, PO Box 5334 Muskegon, MI 49445. MAD Ministry Donation envelopes will also be available at the church.
