A. Eugene "Gene" Kitchen's Obituary
Mr. A. Eugene “Gene” Kitchen, age 77, passed away Friday morning, July 21, 2006. He was born July 28, 1928 in Muskegon to William and Belle (Rice) Kitchen and had been a life resident. Mr. Kitchen was a Muskegon High School graduate and a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of First Congregational Church and a life member of the Muskegon Elks Lodge 274. Mr. Kitchen was a co-owner of Reliable Auto Body for 45 years before retiring in 1992. He loved his family and grandchildren, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. On April 4, 1952, he married the former Lois A. Kieft in Muskegon and she survives him along with 2 sons, Thomas Eugene (Kimberly Ann) Kitchen of Norton Shores, Paul W. (Pamela) Kitchen of Florida; 3 grandchildren, Thomas E. Kitchen II, Kristina A. Kitchen, Jennifer Lynn Kitchen; brother, Walter L. (Pearl) Kitchen of Muskegon; brother-in-law, Richard A. Schuiteman of Muskegon; 1 nephew and 3 nieces. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Vivian Schuiteman and Dorothy Blood. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Monday at
