Agnes Bathke's Obituary
Agnes Bathke, age 95, of Grand Haven passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Lakewoods Nursing Home in Muskegon, MI. She was born December 4, 1926, in Bear Lake, MI to Carl and Violet (Mullen) Osborn, and married Walter Bathke on August 16, 1960. Walter preceded her in death on December 28, 2020.
Agnes worked as a teacher at numerous school systems, Ithaca School, Pleasanton School and Nevarre Catholic School in Toledo, OH where she retired from. She owned and operated Willows Thoroughbred Farm in Spring Lake for many years.
She is lovingly remembered by four children: Charles (Cynthia Huss-Bathke) Bathke, William “Bill” Bathke, Sherry (Ben) Stone and Todd (Denise) Bathke; five grandchildren: Eryn Bathke, Ben (Angie) Stone, Melissa (Matt) VanVels, Tressa Bathke and Nathan Bathke; and five great-grandchildren: Nolan, Addie, Nora, Lucy and Aiva. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Johnson, four brothers: Bill, Bob, Fred and Earl Osborn.
A visitation will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417. A private funeral will be held on Friday at Bear Lake Township Cemetery.
