Agnes Arvilla Wellman's Obituary
Mrs. Agnes A. Wellman, age 75, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. She was born May 10, 1935 in Fruitport, MI to Paul and Fannie (Lockard) Overla. The former Agnes Arvilla Overla married Richard L. Wellman, Sr. in Muskegon on October 7, 1952. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1988. Agnes was a Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed fishing, going to the casino and attending Native American Pow-wows, but most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family. She is survived by 6 children, Emma Delaney, Deborah Porter and Richard (Kristin) Wellman all of Muskegon, Vickie Wellman and Barbara Walker both of Tucson, AZ and Mitchell (Karen) Wellman of Holton; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and her special friend and companion, Drexel Collins of Muskegon. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers and sisters and her grandson, Chris Delaney.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in Spring Lake Cemetery. MEMORIAL contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
