Agnes S. Ochs' Obituary
Mrs. Agnes S. Ochs, age 96, passed away Tuesday, June 08, 2010 at a local care facility. She was born January 3, 1914 in Antrim County, MI to Edward and Emeline (Reed) Hosler. They moved to Manistique, MI and settled in Muskegon in 1925. The former Agnes S. Hosler married William T. Ochs, Sr. in Muskegon on February 8, 1933. He preceded her in death on February 8, 1973. Agnes was employed as a pastry cook at Hardy-Herpolsheimers coffee shop for 20 years and retired in 1974. She was a member of McGraft Memorial Congregational Church. SURVIVORS include: 2 daughters, Barbara Holub of Spring Lake and Elizabeth Hornby of Norton Shores; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Theodore (Irene) Grant of Muskegon; and a step-brother, Howard Hosler of Detroit. She was also preceded in death by her son, William Ochs, Jr. in 1958 and her daughter, Peggy Cincush in 2004. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Friday, 2:00 p.m. at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Rev. James Harwood officiating. VISITATION: Thursday 6-8 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Mona View Cemetery. MEMORIAL contributions may be directed to McGraft Memorial Congregational Church.
