Aida Farkas' Obituary
Mrs. Aida Rivera-Farkas, age 52, passed away early Thursday morning, November 19, 2009. She was born May 5, 1957 to Jose and Sally (Sanchez) Rivera in Muskegon, and was a life resident. Aida had belonged to the Latin American Club, and was very involved with the activities at the Christian Manor where she lived. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters, Amie M. Farkas of Chicago, Angela (Jason) Martin of Muskegon; 2 grandsons, Jason and Jonathon Martin; her father, Jose Rivera of Muskegon; 2 brothers, Ricky and Tony Rivera, both of Muskegon; 4 sisters, Margarita (Daniel) Rivas of Muskegon, Josephine (Jose) Melgoza of Muskegon, Angela (Randy) Sheffer of Muskegon, Mariana (Javier) Vega of Griffith, IN; 12 nieces and nephews; and special friend, Alvaro Aguilar. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sally Rivera; and nephew, Angel Reyes. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 21, at the First Wesleyan Church, 1040 E. Forest.
