Aimee Joy Hamather-Foy's Obituary
Aimee Joy Hamather-Foy, age 45, passed away after a courageous battle on July 14, 2023, at home. She was born on May 20, 1978, to David Hamather and Karen (Robinson) Freeman in Grand Haven, MI. Prior to her illness in 2022, Aimee had worked as a sales representative for Common Sense Dental for 25 years. Aimee loved life, music, concerts, antiquing, weekend getaways, hiking, Christmas and her special dog, Callie May. SURVIVORS include her twin sons, Caleb Foy and Cole Foy; soulmate, Scott Matuz and his children, Cody and Katie; father, David (step-mom, Denise) Hamather; sisters, Shannon Beavers, Kristi Draft, Stephanie McLaughlin, Kimberly McLaughlin; best friend thru everything, Abbey Postlewait; grandfather, Malcolm Hamather; great aunts, Mary Hamather and Helen Kanaly; aunts and uncles, Peter (Karen) Hamather, Bob (Mary) LeFevre, Jim (Lynn) Richards; cousins, Brian and Jon LeFevre, Eric and Jason Richards; niece, Melissa Fender and great-niece, Brooklyn Fender. Aimee was preceded in death by her mother, Karen (Toby) Freeman; grandparents, John (Mabel) Robinson; grandmothers, Natalie Hamather and Marguerite Butcher; aunt, Terri Brown and niece, Michelle Beavers. The MEMORIAL SERVICE for Aimee will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 20, 2023, at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417 with Pastor Doug Bytwerk officiating. VISITATION with her family will be 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday at The VanZantwick Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. MEMORIALS can be directed to the American Cancer Society.
