I have many great memories of Alan,from the years of great customer service he gave us at Herman Miller.We always spoke openly on our faith,and he always had words of wisdom.He was the kindest person.Heaven is blessed to have you. You will be missed.
It was always a pleasure to have lunch with Alan and listen to he's insight into whatever the discussion topic was. For us it was mostly about work and customers he cared so much about. He always took time to ask about my kids and to share joyful moments he had with his grandchildren. I never left a lunch with him that I didn't think more deeply about our conversation afterwards. I'm glad to say that he was a friend and a mentor. Alan is someone that I will certainly alway remember and miss.

My condolences to the Workman family. I was an employee of Muskegon Hardware and Supply. I counted Alan as an employer and friend. He was very helpful to my family when my wife was suffering from cancer. I will always remember him.

Workman "kids"
I spoke with your dad a few months ago by phone and he sounded just as I had remembered him as my neighbor: affable, humerous and respectful. He waxed wistfully about the "Eastwood Drive days" and we shared a few memories. I remember him for eschewing the driver and hitting irons off the tee at Muskegon Country Club, stating that he had given up on his woods. Please know that Linda and I extend our deepest sympathies to all of you. He was a wonderful man.

Pat and I loved Alan and Margaret. We always enjoyed visiting your parents. They were very special to us. I had a surprise for Alan but didn't get to give it to him. It's too long to share here. We will miss our visits with Alan. We share your loss and you are in our thoughts and prayers.
I first knew Al & Margaret growing up at Immanuel CRC. Many years later, when he had grandchildren at Grand Haven Christian he would often stop in the library and ask me about my relatives who had also attended Immanuel. If the library or computer lab needed extra money for a program or special project, all I had to do was ask Alan for the money. I always appreciated his smile, upbeat attitude, and interest in other people. My sympathy to his family.
