Alayna M. Grace's Obituary
Alayna Marie Grace, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, after a year-long battle with cancer. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio on September 25, 1963. Alayna loved working with her hands, whether it was making crafts, baking, or gardening. She loved spending time outdoors, especially going for walks at the state park. Alayna was a feisty, yet kind and giving person. One of Alayna’s specialties was taking care of other people, which she put to good use in the eight years she worked at Seminole Shores Living Center. She was a free spirit who loved horses, concerts, and shoes. Alayna will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Mark Halek, Andrea Grace, Michael Halek, and Alison Halek; five grandchildren: Evan, Gracelyn, Remy, Oliver, and Eleanor; mother, Joyce Leroue; dad, Clay Leroue; four brothers: John (Chera) Yankowski Jr., Robert (Marykaye) Fleisher, Greg Yankowski, and Gary Yankowski; and special friends, Tenille Secrest, friends from Flirt Fitness Studio, and many others. She was preceded in death by her father, John Yankowski. A MEMORIAL GATHERING will be taking place on Friday, May 27, from 3:00 - 5:00 PM in the Family Center of The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to the Greater Muskegon Service League’s Women and Children’s Fund or to the family.
