Albert L. Deater's Obituary
Mr. Albert L. Deater, age 79, died Friday, January 26, 2007 in Belding, MI. He was born on September 30, 1927 in Muskegon to George and Leola Mae (Frederick) Deater, and had resided in the area most of his life. Mr. Deater was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in WW II. He had owned and operated Deater’s Market for many years, and also had retired from Plumb’s. On November 5, 1947 he married the former Lula Rudicil, and she survives him along with 4 children, Linda (Michael) Thomas of Texas, Terry Deater, Pamela Sue (Anthony) Ingersoll and Gary (Marie) Deater all of Muskegon; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Lois Scholten of Muskegon and Juanita (Bob) Durga of Fort Wayne, IN. Mr. Deater was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers, George and Bob Deater. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Monday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210. SERVICES will be 11 AM Tuesday with Pastor John Brown officiating. Burial will take place in Mona View Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Metron of Belding will be appreciated.
