Albert "Skip" J. Krizan's Obituary
Albert “Skip” J. Krizan, age 70, of Baldwin, formerly of Grand Haven, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011, after a long battle with cancer. He was born May 2, 1940, in Chesaning, MI. He attended Aquinas College and moved to Grand Haven, MI in 1964. After he retired from Haworth in 2001, Skip and his wife Sandy moved to Baldwin, Mi in 2002.
Skip was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Baldwin, former member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, member of Eagles 925, Knights of Columbus in Grand Haven, and the Bitley Conservation Club.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sandra; his children, Ken (Shari) Krizan, Keith (Dawn) Krizan, Kurt (Katie) Krizan, Kristine (Morey) Wagenmaker & Kevin Krizan; grandchildren: Amanda (Adam) Shepard, Cameron, Adam & Owen Krizan, Heath & Paige Wagenmaker, Olivia & Lindsey Krizan; great-grandchildren: Karley & Jonathan Shepard, Brendan & Brynne Tober; also 3 brothers: Gordy (Jean) Krizan, Dewey Krizan, and Jim Phillips; 1 sister, Becky (Vern) Heeres; 6 sisters-in-law: Shirley (Joe) Dick, Doris (Jim) Amman, Kay (Jay) Glover, Joan (Gary) Gross, Jean (Gerald) Hemgesberg, and Anita (Charles) Keeler; 3 brothers-in-law: Roy (Marge) Wendling, Harlan Sigmund, and Dale (Leslie) Wendling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeanette & Ken Phillips; his mother-and-father-in-law, Katheryn & Edward Wendling; a brother, Ed Krizan, and brother and sister-in-law, Jay & E.J. Wendling, and Judy Sigmund.
The Funeral Mass for Skip will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 21, 2011, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grand Haven with Rev. Fr. William Langlois as celebrant. Friends may meet the family on Monday one hour prior to the service at church. Memorial contributions to St. Patrick’s Food Pantry, St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Baldwin, the Grand Haven Baseball Program or Hospice of North Ottawa Community are appreciated.
