Alejandro "Alex" Villareal's Obituary
Mr. Alejandro “Alex” Villareal, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 6, 1953 in San Antonio, TX to Francisco and Ofelia (Fuentes) Villarreal, and resided in the West Michigan area for all of his life. Alex was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps. He was a member of the Outriders Motorcycle Club, and loved riding his Harley. Alex worked at Howmet-Alcoa for over 30 years, before retiring last year. On January 10, 2003, he married the former Peggy Versalle, and she survives him along with 6 children, Scott (Verna) Davis, Robert (Jill) Davis, Jesus (Amber) Villareal, Esteban Villareal, Lindsay (Carl) Neuman and Alejandro “Ricci” Villareal; 19 grandchildren; brother, Matt Villarreal; 4 sisters, Phyllis (Tirso) Garza, Rita (Juan) Morales, Molly (Pablo) Garcia, and Mary Maldonado; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Alex was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ryan Davis; and brother, Frank George Villarreal. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11AM Saturday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Pastor Doug Malear officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Thursday and 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday at The Lee Chapel. Burial will take place in Hart Cemetery.
