Alexander T. DeVriendt's Obituary
Alexander T. DeVriendt, age 34, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 as the result of a car accident in Holland, MI. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI on July 31, 1984 to Timothy E. and Allison R. (Blomeling) DeVriendt and lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. He was currently employed as a Clean Line Operator at Plascore, Inc. in Zeeland. Alex was a devoted father and fiancé, dedicated to family always. He was a passionate fan of the U of M and New England Patriots football teams. He is survived by his son, Corey Allen Harrington-DeVriendt; his fiancée, Sam Saroeuth and her sons, Talon and Aiden Duong; his parents, Tim and Allison DeVriendt; 1 sister, Ashley (Jason) VanDellen; nephew, Hunter Yetske, niece and nephew, Avery and Colton VanDellen; his grandmother, Geraldine Blomeling; aunts and uncles, John Blomeling, Cindy (Bill) Vandaver, Jaime (Sara) Blomeling, Edward (Patty) Blomeling, Jill (Paul) Kendall, Jody (Stacy) Blomeling, Joan (Jim) Blesi, Larry Weirda; and many loving cousins, including Linz Farino. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward W. Blomeling, Ruth and Vern Graham, Russell DeVriendt; and his aunt, Heidi Glass. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Fifth Reformed Church (2330 Holton Road) with Pastor Scott VanArendonk officiating. VISITATION will be held 5-9 PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 and one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM Wednesday at church.
