Alex - We have fond memories of your first visits to Houston when you began your cancer treatments at M.D.Anderson. "Texas - who wants to come to T-E-X-A-S? But it didn't take long-just a couple of visits to a western wear store. You selected a "Bubba Stick" to assist you in walking and then you were walking like a Texas. Your favorite plce to dine was "Saltgrass Steakhouse", so it was fitting on our laast evening together we toasted with a cold Texas brew. We will always treasure the times we spent with you and Kelly here in Houston. You were a real Trooper!
See you on the other side--

Alex's family and Billy and Ellery.
Mr. & Mrs. Thurston, I was so sorry to read that Alex passed away. I think of you often and have wondered how you were doing and my times staying at your home cat sitting. Alex was always in and out and one time Billy told me not to let any one come in the house after Alex had held a poker party while they were gone on vacation. Having gone through cancer myself, I know how hard it is on the family. My thoughts and prayers and heart felt sympathy goes out to all of you during this sad time.

Alex played golf with us [Blue tee boys] several times and it was a pleasure to play with him, I remember how long he hit the ball off the tyee he was impressive. He never comp-lained or said anything about his problem, that just showed his character. I hope his family will know that he will be remembered and hope he is in a better place. God bless all of his family... PETE PACE##imported-begin##pete pace##imported-end##
