Alfred Gawlik's Obituary
Alfred “Fred” Gawlik of Muskegon, age 82, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023. He was born in Poland on November 10, 1940, to John and Josephine Gawlik. Fred was employed by Sappi Fine Paper for 50 years. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Muskegon. He is survived by his children, David (Melissa) Gawlik, Kristan Gawlik, and John (Bobbi) Gawlik; grandchildren, Filipina (Josh) Mueller, Katelyn (Connor) Gates, and Joshua Gawlik; great-grandchildren, Hudson, Hazel, and Harper; siblings, Irena Walega, Eugenia (Casey) Kiel, and Stanley (Josephine) Gawlik; and thirteen nieces and nine nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and three sisters. There will be no funeral Mass, per Fred’s wishes. A burial of his ashes will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery with his immediate family. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Harbor Hospice Foundation in Muskegon.
