Alfred Charles Olson Jr.'s Obituary
Alfred C. Olson Jr., age 89, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, in Muskegon, MI. He was born to Alfred C. Olson Sr. and Dorothy M. Vogelsong in Muskegon, MI. on July 20, 1936.
Alfred retired from the Muskegon Piston Ring after 30 years. He also retired from Whitewall Products at age 71. He grew up in North Muskegon on his Grandparents Farm. His passion was farming. His first Farm was a horse farm in North Muskegon, a horse farm in Montague, then a cattle farm in Montague. He liked to fish and hunt with his Stepfather, Alfred D. Dean. He married our mom (Shirley E. Bartlett) June 18, 1954. Alfred was a hard-working individual. Our dad had a 9-year battle with Alzheimer’s Dementia. A disease that takes away your dignity and your daily lively hood. I held my dad’s hand through this journey, with the help of the people at the SKLD Care Facility now Optalis. It takes a Village and a team of dedicated people to care for a loved one. I promised him I would be there until his exit, and I was. We had good times and a few rough times, but we made it.
I love you, Dad!
