Alfred E. Shamess' Obituary
Mr. Alfred Shamess, age 87, of Grand Haven passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019. He was born April 10, 1932 in Espanola, Ontario to Louis and Monera (Abumrad) Shamess. On October 8, 1960 he married Gloria Karrip and she preceded him in death on October 19, 2016.
Alfred was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and retired from Chrysler Automotive legal department. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his son, Chris Shamess of Grand Haven; brother, John (Denise) Shamass of Ontario.
A graveside service will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Alfred may be given to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church – Iconography Fund or Hospice of North Ottawa. Please sign the family’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com.
