Alice M. Donson's Obituary
Mrs. Alice Marie Donson departed this life on Thursday September 1, 2022, peacefully at home. She was born on September 24, 1947, at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon, MI. to the union of the late Horace and Marian Williams. She accepted Christ at an early age.
Alice attended Muskegon Heights Public Schools. On September 4, 1965, Alice married the late William Donson, Jr., and to this union four children were born.
Alice was employed at the Sherman Oaks Nursing Home for over 20 years. After she retired, she devoted her time to her loving family.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her three daughters, Denise (Ramon) Donson-Droughn, Pamela McAllister, Shannon Donson; and one son, Edward (Stacey) Donson all of Muskegon, MI; four sisters, Shirley Williams, Mildred Robinson, Estelia (Alexander) Rankin, Diane (Howard) Crowley; two brothers, Randall Galliton and Ronnie (Crystal) Matthews; two sisters-in-law, Collie (Louis) Harrison and Loretta Williams; and one brother-in-law, Bruce Kelly; 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one great- great grandchild, and 2 special nieces, Marion Marie McAllister and Cassetta Donson. A host of other relatives, neighbors, and dear friends.
Alice was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Donson, Jr., parents, Horace and Marian Williams, sister, Linda Williams, and brothers, Horace E. Williams, Anthony R. Williams, and Horace Kindle.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Corinthians Baptist Church, 2027 Peck St., Muskegon Heights, MI 49444. A viewing will be held one-hour prior at the church. A viewing will be held from 6-8:00PM on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442.
