Mrs. Alice Fae Dusenberry's Obituary
Mrs. Alice Fae Dusenberry, age 97, passed away Monday evening, November 28, 2016 at Hillcrest Nursing Home. Alice was born October 19, 1919 in Patoka, IN to Charles and Mary (Montgomery) Miller. She was the oldest of 11 children (eight sisters and two brothers). Her father was a farmer, so she helped with the farm chores. On August 15, 1938, she met and married Louis Dusenberry in Princeton, IN. After marriage, they moved to Hart, MI and in 1939, Mr. Dusenberry built them a house on Giles Road in Laketon Twp. Louis preceded her in death on December 5, 1985, at the age of 70. Alice was a member First Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of Widows Together for over 25 years. She is survived by her 4 children, Robert W. (June) Dusenberry of Bradenton, FL, Joyce (Charles) Jamerson of N. Muskegon, Larry (Jeanie) Dusenberry of N. Muskegon and Brenda (Ted) Delano of Baldwin, MI; 6 grandchildren, Deana (Chuck) Sugarbaker, Jeffrey (Andrea) Dusenberry, David (Barb) Dusenberry Sr., Jill Ann (Mike) Crane Lisa (Scott) Hobby and Scott (Bobbi Jo) Gordon ; 17 great grandchildren; 6 great- great grandchildren and 2 on the way; 2 sisters, Ruth Morrison, and Shirley Todd; and many nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Roger and Harrison Miller; 4 sisters, Lucy Berry, Gertrude Peach, Margaret Miller, Katherine Ellis, and an Infant sister; a granddaughter, Christine Dusenberry; and a grandson, Charles Jamerson, Jr. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11 :00 AM May 6, 2017 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. William Uetriecht officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Hospice of Michigan or First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
