Mrs. Alice R. Huryk's Obituary
Mrs. Alice Huryk, 90, passed away Tuesday evening, January 5, 2016. She was born November 24, 1925 to John S. and Josephine S. (Vicknus) Lesausky in Custer, Michigan and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. She was a former longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and currently attended both Prince of Peace and St. James in Montague Catholic Churches. Alice was married to William Huryk, and he preceded her in death on February 12, 2007. Survivors include 2 children, Joann (Charles) Fishel of Whitehall, Gregory (Donna) Huryk of N. Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Daniel (Jennifer) Fishel, Lisa (Scott) Walton, Steven (Tiffany) Fishel, Nick Huryk, Alex Huryk; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, George Lesausky of Rochester, MI. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Albert and Clement, and 1 sister, Nellie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 8, at 11:00 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Peter Vu presiding. Burial will take place at Norton Cemetery. Visitation at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565 will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, with the Rosary prayer at 5:30 PM. Visitation will also be 1 hour prior to the service at church.
