Alice M. Kitson's Obituary
Mrs. Alice M. Kitson, age 77, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in Gregory, Michigan. She was born on September 1, 1938 in Nunica, Michigan to Dessie and Alice (Martin) Stickles and had lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. Alice was a homemaker and married Ivan E. Kitson, Sr. in 1954 and he preceded her in death in 2000. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Howell, Michigan. Alice was an avid reader, enjoyed baking, talking on the phone, word searches, traveling, the Dairy Queen and the Marble Board game, but foremost was always her family and friends. SURVIVORS include her children, Ivan (Renee) Kitson, Jr., Linda Wilson, Delores (Todd) Welbon, Wanda (Jeff) Thorpe and Diana Kitson; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, James “Butch” (Sue) Stickles and Joe Stickles; and sister, Mary Deater. Along with her husband, Ivan, Alice was preceded in death by her son, Randy; grandson, Michael; and 2 brothers, Dessie “Jack” Stickles and Thomas Stickles. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 1PM on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. VISITATION will be held from 5-7PM Friday evening at the funeral home. A CELEBRATION OF ALICE'S LIFE will also be held at 11AM on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Liberty Baptist Church in Howell, Michigan with a luncheon to follow.
