Alice Faye McClatchy's Obituary
Alice F. McClatchy, age 89, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in Muskegon, MI. She was born to Clyde and Alma (Sampson) Haan on November 20, 1936, in Muskegon, MI. She was a woman of character and some of her interests, included many animals throughout her life, she loved riding her horses when she was young, she enjoyed taking care of her pets, and the many strays that came into her life along the way. She also enjoyed spending time with her loving family. Alice met the love of her life, Ernest McClatchy, at a young age, married in December of 1956 and spent 57 meaningful years together. Alice is survived in death by her children: Dan (Chris) McClatchy, Dee McClatchy; grandchildren: Leah (Chris) Parks, Joey McClatchy, Bethany and Bobby Drier, Brandon and Kelli Farkas, Hunter, Sydney, and Olivia; great grandchild: Luci, Nora with another on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents: Clyde and Alma Haan; spouse: Ernest McClatchy; siblings: Edith, Betty, Lois, Joan, David and Jim. VISITATION will take place on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave. Muskegon, MI. 49442 with a MEMORIAL SERVICE following at 11:00 AM.
