Mrs. Alice Jean Smith's Obituary
Mrs. Alice Jean Smith, age 87, wife of Roy E. Smith, Jr., passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 at Harbor Hospice, Poppen Residence. She was born in Muskegon on September 4, 1924 to Jacob and Sally Kushnak. Alice Jean graduated from St. Mary’s High School and Muskegon Business College. She was employed as Personnel Director by Lakeshore Machinery and Supply Company for more than 30 years. Jean, as she likes to be called by her friends, was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and was an avid Bridge player. She married Roy Smith in Muskegon on June 3, 1950. She is survived by her dedicated family including her husband, Roy; one daughter, Debbie (Dave) Ziolkowski of Brighton; one granddaughter, Katie; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Kushnak. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 26, 2012 at The Lee Chapel
