Alice M. Anderson's Obituary
Mrs. Alice (‘nee Zuidema) Anderson, age 76, died Thursday evening, March 4, 2010 in Muskegon. She was born March 2, 1934 in Muskegon to Albert and Francis (VanderWeg) Zuidema and had been a life resident of the area. Alice was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and had formerly been active with its Altar Guild. She had also been involved with the Girl Scouts and “Brownies” for 10 years; and had been employed 12 years as company cashier for Shaw-Walker Co., prior to her retirement in 1978. Alice loved and enjoyed her family, knitting and reading. On October 24, 1952, Alice married Earl C. Anderson, Jr. and he survives her along with 5 daughters, Sally (Ken) Ott of Florida, Mary (Mark) O’Neal of Muskegon, Linda (David) Coffey of Whitehall, Nancy Anderson of Muskegon and Brenda (Brian) Jacobs of Hudsonville; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert C. (Sue) Zuidema of Muskegon; sister-in-law, Patricia Zuidema of Muskegon and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 brother, Albert Zuidema. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2 PM Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Conradt officiating. VISITATION with Alice’s family will be one-hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Laketon Township Cemetery.
