Alicia L. Mitchell's Obituary
Alicia L. Mitchell, age 63, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024. She was born March 17, 1960 in Muskegon to Tommie and Mary (Miggins) Mitchell Sr. Alicia had spent many years working as a teacher aide and nurses aide prior to her retirement. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ where she served as a secretary for the Sunday School program, sang in choir, and worked in the kitchen when needed. She enjoyed fishing, singing, dancing, playing cards, and cooking. Alicia was most happy when she was spending time with friends and family. SURVIVORS include her daughter, Chantele (Brandon) Mitchell-Kelly; three grandchildren: Aniyah Mitchell, Harmonee and Ava Billups; three brothers: James Mitchell, Tommie Mitchell Jr., and Jacques Mitchell; sister, Carrie Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Arthur Smith, Albert Mitchell, William Mitchell, and Eddie D. SERVICES for Alicia will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ (188 W. Muskegon Ave., Muskegon, MI 49440) with Elder Duane E. Bennett and Pastor Darius Mitchell officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIALS to the family to help with funeral expenses will be appreciated.
