Allan M. Hathaway's Obituary
Mr. Allan Max Hathaway, age 84, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at his home. He was born on June 15, 1935 to Ralph and Bertha (Fish) Hathaway in Wickes, Arkansas. On November 16, 1957, he married the former Joyce Browers and she survives him. He enjoyed watching The Beverly Hillbillies, comedy shows and old cartoons. Allan was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and always listened to the game on the radio at full volume. He worked for General Hospital for 35 as a custodian and drove truck for Goodwill. Allan will be missed by his wife of 62 years, Joyce; sons, Jeffrey Hathaway and Paul (fiancée Melanie) Hathaway; grandchildren, Jessica Hathaway, Abbi Hathaway and Reece Bartos; great-grandchildren, Colton Colantuono, Kali Clayton, Allenia Lamay and Brenden Cartwright; sisters, Bertha Pratt-Longcore and Charlyn (Raymond) Averill; brothers and sisters-in-law, Betty Sprague, Mary Sprague, Jack Browers and Ed (Janet) Browers; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Rochelle Hathaway; siblings, Alice Clark, James Hathaway, Ralph Hathaway and infant brother, Donald Hathaway; and brother-in-law, LeRoy Browers. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 22 at 3PM at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI, 49442.
