Allen "AJ" Fox Jr's Obituary
Allen “AJ” Fox, Jr, age 53, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 following a short battle with cancer. He was born on July 1, 1968 to Allen J. and Carolyn J. (Landers) Fox in Muskegon. A lifelong resident of the area, AJ graduated from Reeths-Puffer High School in 1987 and proudly joined the United States Marine Corps. AJ was a Desert Storm veteran and was Honorably Discharged in October of 1991 as a Corporal. AJ met his wife, the former Mikki Karsten while they were both in the Marines and they were married on December 1, 1990. Together they raised two beautiful daughters in Muskegon. AJ loved to ride his Harley with his family and friends and was a big car enthusiast. He had a knack for fixing things up and if he didn’t know how he would figure it out. He liked to say about himself, “Jack of all trades, master of none.” More than anything, AJ loved his family. They meant everything to him, and he loved going on yearly “guy fishing trips” in Cedarville, MI, hunting at “Deer Camp” in Bitely, MI, and had a blast camping up north. He was the type of man his entire family could count on and will be deeply missed by his wife, Mikki; daughters, Alissa J. Fox and Alaina J. Fox; parents, Allen and Carolyn; siblings, Mike (Lisa) Fox, Steve (April) Fox, and Missy (Terry) Jackson; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held 12noon, Monday, August 16, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, August 15 from 6-8PM, and one hour prior to the service from 11AM-12PM. Please feel free the share a memory with the family online at www.sytsemafh.com.
