Allesha Katherine Thurkettle's Obituary
Mrs. Allesha Katherine “Gummie” Thurkettle, age 88, went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 11, 2016. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on March 29, 1928 to Stephen and Katherine (Chrencik) Hradsky. Gummie was a charter member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening and knitting. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and always put her family first. She is survived by her children, Stephen Thurkettle of Benicia, CA, Robin (David) Thomas of Norton Shores and Cynthia (Doug) Morse of Port St. Lucie, FL; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Roger Knopf; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Bettye DeMuro, Anne Hradsky and Mildred Knopf; and by one brother, Stephen Hradsky. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 15, 2016 at St. Mark Lutheran Church (4475 Henry Street, Norton Shores 49441) with Rev. Mark Gilson officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Norton Cemetery. For a more lasting MEMORIAL, please consider St. Mark Lutheran Church or Mona Shores Orchestra.
