Aloaha J. Schmuker's Obituary
Mrs. Aloaha J. Schmuker, age 87, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 in Muskegon. She was born on September 25, 1928 in Muskegon to Anthony and Bessie (Maycroft) Christian (both deceased), and resided in the area all of her life. Aloaha worked at Sealed Power for 30 years, prior to retiring in 1987. She was a former member of the Muskegon Heights Eagles and enjoyed trips to the casinos for entertainment. On August 17, 1946, she married Lawrence Schmuker and he preceded her in death on December 13, 1990. SURVIVORS include three children, Toni Hazelett of Muskegon, Joseph (Marilyn) Schmuker of North Muskegon, and Stephen Schmuker also of Muskegon; three grandchildren, Adam (Timara) Gill, Daniel (Darcey) Schmuker, and Stefanie (Richard) Nienhouse; four great grandchildren, Amber, Marley, Taryn, Hayley; sister, Lorraine Workman of North Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. Aloaha was also preceded in death by step-father, Eugene Reynolds; son-in-law, James Hazelett; and brother, Frederick Christian. Private family services will be held.
