Mr. Alvin L. Haas Jr.'s Obituary
Alvin L. Haas Jr. (Buddy), of Whitehall, MI. went to meet his Lord on July 2, 2015 after losing his fight to cancer. He was born on May 19, 1947 in Muskegon, MI. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Haas Sr. and mother, Delores (Port), sister, Rebecca and brother, Douglas. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Bennett); sons, Christopher and wife, Julie of Norton Shores, Alvin Haas III and wife, Adina of Twin Lake; daughter, Chanda Nichols-Wilson of North Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, Morgan, Chandler, Carleigh, Chloe, Brennen, Annalyse, Sydney and Lucas; sisters, Nicole Budde and husband, Rick of Twin Lake, Tamela Vryhoff and husband, Daniel of Fruitport; several nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Allen Bennett of Hesperia; and mother-in-law, Maxine Bennett of Hesperia. Alvin attended Orchard View High School. He married Susan on June 17, 1966. Alvin sold Stormy Kromer products at gun and knife shows for the past 13 years and also owned Haasienda Enterprises. He also drove truck for VanEerden Produce for several years. He loved to fish and hunt. Before his health failed, he was a Harley enthusiast, and sponsored the motorcycle 'Hog Ride' in Baldwin, MI., at the Farm for 10 years. He loved spending time with family and grandchildren. Services will be at Fellowship Reformed Church, 4200 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI on Tuesday, July 7th at 6:00 PM. There will be a visitation at the church before the service from 5-6 pm and a luncheon after the service. Those who would like to join in a motorcycle memorial ride after services are welcome to attend. Flowers are to be delivered to the church. Donations would be appreciated to assist with medical and funeral expenses.
